For the second year in a row, one of the biggest tech, innovation and entrepreneurialism events in Europe is nearly here.
What is already considered “the world's best tech conference" will bring over 1,000 speakers, 21 conferences, 60,000 visitors from 170 countries and at least 1,600 start-ups in search of the over 1,500 investors to Lisbon.
New additions this year include, for example, a Q&A, aimed at being one of the “most open and honest” events at any tech summit (where speakers can be asked anything, “unfiltered”), Planet Tech, a new area focused on sustainability, environment and renewable energies, and the PlayerOne stage, dedicated to the computer games industry, a sector that generated US$91 billion (€81 billion) in 2016, according to SuperData Research. The Web Summit will also have two very special speakers: Sophia and Professor Einstein, two robots developed by Hanson Robotics who will make an appearance on stage to discuss current themes.
If you didn’t attend last year, make sure you register for this year’s event. If you did go in 2016, then you know what to expect so don’t miss it! Visit the Web Summit site to find out how to register.
