Instagram has been gaining ground in the domestic market, and it is now the second most famous social network in Portugal.
According to Marktest, this second place refers to overall notoriety. If, however, we focus on spontaneous notoriety (when the survey suggests no alternative answers to the respondent), Twitter is still the most famous social network (followed by Instagram).
These results are presented on the new edition of "Portuguese People and Social Networks," published by Marktest Consulting, which examines the relationship between Portuguese citizens and social networks. LinkedIn ranks 4th, while Snapchat, a rookie in this ranking, gets the 5th place.
The study interviewed 4,626 social network users living in mainland Portugal, and aged between 15 and 64.
